I think that the main characteres in the story are Guy Montag, Faber, and Beatty.

Guy Montag is the protagonist and he is the most important character. He is very interesting because at the begining of the story, he doesnt really look into what he does deeply. He just burns books and does what he is told, but through the story, we see how he realizes how important knowledge is. He completly changes. In the begining of one week he burns book and at the end of the week, he wants to save them. I admire how he puts what he thinks into action and doesn’t hide what he thinks.

Faber is specail in this story because he is a retired professor that helps Montag throughtout the book. He teaches Montag the value of books. I think he is what gets Montag thinking deeply and makes him understand the basics of books. I really like him because he makes things make sense and is smart.

Beatty is Montags captain. I really don't like him. He is evil to me. He likes to burn books because he thinks it keeps peace. He thinks that books only contain bad thoughts.

All these characters relate to the many different people in the world today. Beatty is like people who follow the government and are narrow minded. Faber is like people who think their own opinions but keep them to themselves and follow what everyone else does. Guy Montag is like the people who think their own opinions and act on them.
